I went for breakfast with my girlfriend there and we ordered an omelette to share and the soufflé pancake. The omelette was very well done and the pancake was so amazing. Very fluffy and moist.

This place is absolutely delicious for breakfast and lunch. It's always very busy, but they sit you down right away. Our server was Mariana -- she is very attentive, professional and always had a great smile on her face. Thank you for taking good care of us. Great service makes a difference Ambiance is chill & busy. If you're ever in Berkeley on fourth Street, gotta stop by and try this place out absolutely delicious.!! You got to stop by it will not disappoint!!

Been here multiple times over the last 17 years. My favorites are their pastries and their corn beef hash breakfast dish. Staff is friendly, the vibe is old school diner.

Went in on a Saturday for brunch with friends. They were very busy and did not take reservations. We sat after our full party had arrived. It was my first time here and I felt it was just okay. They didn't have a lot of options on the menu. I ordered the bagel plate and shared it with a friend who ordered the potato cakes. The bagel was good ( hard to mess up a bagel!) but the potatoes were bland. We also stopped at the bakery attached to the restaurant. I got cookies and brownies for the family. We all had the same opinions of very dry and not good for the pastries.

I looooooove this place! If you're looking for old school diner vibes, this is the place for you. Sitting at the counter, you get to watch the hustle and bustle of waiters and cook staff while sipping on a hot coffee or some orange juice. Their menu is pretty extensive for a diner, which is great because you can always try something new! Personally, I love their home fries :) I haven't had a chance to try their souffle pancakes, but they're on my list!!

My friend and I stopped by after visiting the 4th St shops since we were lured in by the red booths and the traditional American diner interior! One of the things I noticed quickly about the place was how nice everybody was! I loved our server who reminded us of George Lopez because he was just as funny. We split the California breakfast and the waffle and it was definitely enough food for the two of us! The waffle was pretty standard, but I was surprised by how good the CA breakfast was because the ham edges were grilled and charred perfectly. The potatoes had the best texture and not too dry or raw and I loved how each toast came buttered! It's the little things that go a long way!

My partner and I got brunch here after touring some apartments in the area. There was a short waitlist ahead of us, but our name was called about 2 minutes after we asked for a table. Lots of seating available, both inside, outside, and bar seating. We sat inside and were met with friendly staff and friendly diners, as well. We ordered a short stack of pancakes, a Maryland breakfast with sourdough toast, and a California breakfast with whole wheat toast. Everything we had was excellent. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and toast was deliciously buttered, the roasted tomatoes were amazing, the pancakes were fluffy...I could go on! Very happy with this food. I saw street parking and a parking lot nearby, as well. It's also located near lots of stores, restaurants, some coffee shops, and a great looking plant store. Overall, I'm so happy we discovered this diner! I very much recommend it if you're in the area.
